Medical AI startup Evom AI (CEO Hyeonseob Nam) announced today its selection for the TIPS(Tech Incubator Program for Startups) Deep Tech track, facilitated by Korea's Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The program provides 1.5 billion KRW — approximately $1.0 million USD — in government R&D funding over three years.
The TIPS Deep Tech track is a private investment-led tech venture support program designed to nurture startups with exceptional technology and talent in strategic sectors. Evom AI secured seed funding from Klim Ventures in September 2025, and with this TIPS selection, has further strengthened its momentum to develop AI specialized in cardiovascular diseases. "Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death worldwide and continue to rise each year, making early prediction and preventive management more critical than ever," said Hyeonseob Nam, CEO of Evom AI. "As a strong team backed by government R&D funding, we are well-poised to lead the global market through groundbreaking cardiology AI."

Leveraging their proven technical expertise and execution capabilities, the team focuses on early diagnosis and prediction of heart diseases.
While electrocardiograms (ECGs) and echocardiography are fundamental for diagnosing heart diseases, the complexity of data interpretation and variability in operator skill levels have limited diagnostic accuracy and consistency. Evom AI's ECG solution detects subtle signals in ECG waveforms to support timely and accurate clinical decision-making, while its echocardiography AI automates dozens of measurements to assist cardiac function assessment and diagnosis. The company also plans to develop multimodal AI that analyzes both ECG and echocardiography data to predict the risk of severe cardiac events before they occur. This represents a revolutionary paradigm shift in medicine from reactive treatment to proactive prevention.
