2026년 09월 24일

More than 1,000 C-suite executives and 500 investors attended the Bangkok summit, with over 1,500 business-matching meetings focused on AI, supply chains, digital infrastructure and emerging technology opportunities.

Techsauce Global Summit 2026 concluded in Bangkok after bringing together technology companies, startups, investors, corporate leaders and policymakers from 60 countries to discuss artificial intelligence, shifting global supply chains, digital infrastructure and emerging technology opportunities across Southeast Asia.

Held from August 26-28 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) under the theme “The Race to the NEXT...”, the summit drew more than 1,000 C-suite executives and 500 investors. Its business-matching program facilitated more than 1,500 meetings connecting participants with prospective investors, customers and partners.

The summit comes as Thailand experiences a sharp increase in technology-related investment. According to Thailand's Board of Investment, investment applications reached 1.473 trillion baht (approximately US$43.6 billion) across 1,299 projects in the first half of 2026, up 37% year over year. The digital sector accounted for 1.115 trillion baht, led by investment in digital infrastructure, data centers and AI-related facilities.

Techsauce Highlights Southeast Asia's Changing Role

The summit's discussions centered on how businesses and governments are responding to major changes in technology and global supply chains.

“With global supply chains and emerging technologies shifting, Southeast Asia has a rare window to become a global hub for innovation and capital, moving beyond its traditional role as a manufacturing base,” said Oranuch Lerdsuwankij, CEO and Co-founder of Techsauce. “The ‘NEXT’ is all about seizing this opportunity. Southeast Asia is ready to help shape the new global order, and our mission at Techsauce is to unite the entire ecosystem to turn these macro shifts into concrete partnerships.”

Lerdsuwankij also pointed to the increasing strategic importance of technologies such as semiconductors and clean energy as global supply chains are reorganized. Techsauce's post-event coverage said the summit examined how these changes could create new opportunities for Thailand and the wider region.

The event featured 10 stages, more than 350 speakers, over 350 exhibitors, and more than 40 workshops and masterclasses. Sessions covered AI and Agentic AI, the digital economy, finance, HealthTech and healthspan, food systems and corporate innovation.

AI Takes Center Stage

Artificial intelligence was a major focus of the summit, particularly the transition toward AI-native businesses.

Dr. Kai-Fu Lee, AI pioneer, investor and former Google China executive, discussed how falling AI costs are changing the way companies can operate. His presentation focused on AI-native enterprises and the growing capabilities of agentic AI.

According to Techsauce's post-event summary, Lee highlighted that comparable AI capabilities have become approximately 175 times less expensive over two years. He also discussed AI systems capable of coding, using tools and carrying out multi-step workflows.

Lee argued that businesses need to rethink how work is organized rather than simply adding AI tools to existing processes. His proposed approach combines multi-agent systems with greater individual accountability, allowing AI to take on more execution while people focus on vision, judgment, creativity, trust and accountability.

The discussion comes as Thailand expands its own AI and digital infrastructure initiatives. The country's government has identified AI data centers and broader AI adoption as priorities, while a national big-data strategy is addressing issues including data connectivity, AI talent, cybersecurity and data protection.

Healthcare was another major theme at the summit, with discussions focusing on the emerging Healthspan Economy.

Pattana Promphat, Thailand's Minister of Public Health, outlined the country's ambition to establish Thailand as an Asian longevity hub by applying AI and genomics to preventive and personalized healthcare.

The focus aligns with Thailand's broader effort to expand its medical and wellness economy. Government initiatives have increasingly emphasized advanced medical technologies, AI, genomics and preventive healthcare as part of the country's healthcare development strategy.

The summit therefore brought together technology discussions with developments in healthcare, showing how AI and emerging technologies are being considered across multiple sectors rather than solely within the software industry.

Business Matching Connects Startups, Investors and Corporates

More than 1,500 business-matching meetings formed a significant part of the summit, connecting startups, investors, corporations and other ecosystem participants. Techsauce said the meetings were intended to help participants identify prospective investors, customers and strategic partners. Other summit activities included Meet the VCs, Executive Networking, an innovation exhibition, workshops and side events across Bangkok.

The summit also reflects Techsauce's evolution from a knowledge-sharing platform focused on startups and digital business trends into a broader technology ecosystem builder. Its initiatives include the Thailand Accelerator, which supports startups seeking to scale, access markets and secure funding, alongside programs connecting startups with investors, corporations, governments and global technology companies.

Government Signals Continued Policy Engagement

The summit's closing session brought the technology ecosystem discussion back to government policy. Professor Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, emphasized the broader role of the platform in connecting the private sector, investors and policymakers.

“Techsauce is no longer just a conference; it is a platform Thailand should be proud of,” he said in his closing remarks. He also highlighted the government's readiness to consider and translate insights from the technology ecosystem into policy.

For Thailand, the summit comes at a time when digital infrastructure is attracting a growing share of investment. The country's Board of Investment said approved projects in the first half of 2026 are expected to create more than 82,000 jobs, while investment promotion is also targeting higher-value manufacturing, automation and robotics.

Techsauce Global Summit 2026 brought these developments into a single forum, connecting discussions around AI, digital infrastructure, healthcare, finance, supply chains and investment with companies and investors from across global markets. The event's next phase will depend on how these discussions and business connections translate into investments, partnerships, technology adoption and expansion across Southeast Asia.
