Union Invests into Korean beauty MCN startup Leferi

Leferi Beauty Channel, a popular beauty MCN in Asia has secured a US$822k (KRW 1b) investment from Union Investment Partners. Driving the investment deal was the global trend for video contents. In the Asian market, popular video content categories in the Asian market  include beauty and fashion as well as Korean products.

Leferi Beauty Channel has partnered with Youtube Korea over the last 1 year and 4 months to deliver their Creator Academy from which 220 students were selected. Leferi singed an exclusive contract with 80 and is Korea's largest beauty MCN.

Their academy is becoming popular with next year student enrolments numbers expected to exceed 350. With their increasing popularity, Leferi will aim to launch their brand throughout South East Asia and China. The operations in China will be headquartered from Hong Kong where Leferi have formed strategic contents partnerships with Meira and Yokotodo Group.

Leferi will also livecast a beauty makeup show case in Ho Chi Minh City through the popular shopping mall Vivo City.

Choi In Seok from Leferi commented, "The investment from Union will be used towards settign up our foreign operations. We will also strengthen the quality of fashion media contents and develop media commece business'".
