On the 14th October, global online music distribution service provider Pison Contents announced a $1m (KRW 1.1b) investment for their music-spray distribution technology. The investment is a combined total from Silicon Valley venture capital Sazze Partners, a Korean primer investor, and startup business program (TIPS) which is state operated by the small business agency.
Although Pison Contents is headquartered in Korea, their offices and research centres are operated in USA, France and China. Their music distribution service uses an online music-spray method that enables instant global distribution of music contents. This technology has raised the interest of many organisations including Apply, Spotify, Google, Amazon and other major global music service providers. In the Korean market, the technology has provided a new business model in which music content is delivered.
Ryo Ho Seok from Pison Contents described the technology, “SoundDex automates the transaction and administrative side of the global music market cutting labour, time and regional boundaries. The global music market has for a long time been plagued with problems that cause uncertainty and the solution are overdue. SoundDex brings innovation, efficiency and scale optimisation to music markets of all regions”.
Currenly Pison Contents is research and developming Soundex, a computerized, online global music distribution solution from their research centres in Silicon Valley and France. The official details of this solution is expected to be presented during the startup conference event, “beGLOBAL San Francisco 2015”.
