SK’s Social Impact Investment division, SK Happiness Organization have announced their commitment to make a US$860k (KRW 1b) social impact investment into Brave Pops Company. Brave Pops is an educational software developer which was formed in 2015 by five internet experts from Naver and Ticket Monster.
Class 123, a teaching aid software developed by Brave Pops allows teachers to communicate feedback on a student’s attitude and behavior to the student and to their parents. Class 123 has experienced rapid growth with over 50,000 teachers globally subscribed to the service.
SK Happiness actively seeks Social Impact Investment opportunities with a particular focus towards social ventures with high growth potential; and providing stability to companies that provide social value and economy.
SK Happiness identified Brave Pop during a ‘Social Impact Investment’ event in 2015. After evaluating Brave Pops’ management, finance and social value; SK Happiness Organization was able to confirm their investment decision. Brave Pops scored particularly well for their profit model, vision and social mission.
