The Seoul Global Startup Center (SGSC) hosted Demo Day for global startups was successfully made available to online audiences on December 29th. The event, organized by SGSC, established by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in co-operation with N15 Co., Ltd. (N15, Co-Founder Jea Huh, Sunjong Ryu), and WeWorkLabs Korea was held December 23rd at Daewon Media Hall located in Yongsan I-Park Mall.
Following the precautionary measures and guidelines of COVID19, Demo Day had been hosted online with a limited number of participants. This event gave the opportunity to 5th Batch Residents, Graduates, and Alumni who were screened fairly by the third-party judges. On the event of UNTACT Demo Day on 23rd, the top three winning startup teams were selected through an evaluation by a panel of judges composed of Korean and international VCs and Representatives of Investment Firms.
DamoGO, providing a mobile app service that helps individuals rescue the environment by consuming unsold food and creating an organic ecosystem for the food industry, took first place in the Demo Day. The second place was followed by Apollo Edu Tech, who provides coding education through unplugged educational gaming. Finally, Oysterable, whose mission is to make the world a better place by making recycling fun and attractive for everyone with IoT Smart Bin & Reward app for boosting recycling, took the third place.
Hyunwook Jung, the CEO of beSUCCESS who participated as one of the judges for the Demo Day, said, “The 2020 SGSC Demo Day went very successful and fruitful even though it was hosted online and untact due to the effects of COVID19. I hope this Demo Day will bring a new opportunity to the startups who are preparing to enter the global market.”

Seoul Global Startup Center was established to support the startup ecosystem & scene for foreign entrepreneurs in Korea and their global outbound. The Center is planning to actively support their global entry, market development, networking, and mentoring programs as that is what the Center promotes to support the Global Startups to their another year of substantial performances in 2021.
