Samsung’s “Galaxy S4” To Be Revealed In March
2013년 02월 20일

The Korean Herald announced that Samsung Electronics is to reveal the new version of the Galaxy S series in mid-March.

Dubbed “Galaxy S4,” the phone is expected to be unveiled at the launch ceremony held in New York City.

Samsung has yet to announce the official plan about the S4 launch, but rumors anticipate that the new model will have a 4.99-inch HD screen based on AMOLED technology and will have incorporated a variety of cutting-edge solutions. It is likely to use Google's Android Jelly Bean operating system.

Samsung will no doubt stage yet another fight with Apple, whose latest model, iPhone 5, is struggling to expand its share in the Korean market. However, Apple is the number 1 mobile phone vendor in the US, with a record of 34% market share.

Samsung’s market share rose 5%, from 27% in 2012, but it was not enough to hold off a surging Apple. LG on the other hand, struggled to compete with an Apple and Samsung onslaught in the high-growth smartphone sub-category, but it is expected that they will fight back this year with new and improved models like the Optimus G 4G LTE with Android. We wrote on this previously - you can read the article here.

These rumors regarding Galaxy S4 reflect how popular the Galaxy series is in both the Korean and the US market - we will be sure to keep our eyes peeled for this! Don't forget to like and share this article!
