LG Electronics recently announced that it will start selling a large screen “phablet”, Vu 3, through three major telecom companies starting from September 27. The Vu 3 is the third in LG Electronics' Vu series following Optimus Vu and Optimus Vu 2, each released in March and September 2012. With a 5.2-inch screen that has a 4:3 ratio, the Vu 3 is designed to make it easier for users to enjoy the content for which readability is important. The Vu 3 enables users to read web pages, SNS and e-books as ‘easily as reading a textbook or A4 paper’.
The Vu 3 is also mounted with a rubberdium pen that makes it easier for users to use the memo functionality such as notebook and calendar. The dedicated cover of the Vu 3 is appointed with semi-transparent material that emphasizes emotional design and allows users to check information without opening the device cover.
The Vu 3 is also embedded with Qualcomm's SnapDragon 800 processor and HD IPS display (1280*960) and features a 13-megapixel camera and a 24-bit Hi-Fi sound.
