Jobplanet, korean company assessment platform, announced on the 14th that they acquired total 8.3 million USD from Qualcomm Ventures, Altos Ventures, and Born Angels.
Job Planet had initially received 2 million USD from Born Angels and The Ventures last year. Adding this investment, it sums up to total 10 million USD. There are now 350 thousand reviews (company reviews by employees) on 20 thousand companies, salary info; and 95% of companies with more than 100 employees are reviewed on Job Planet.
Job Planet is where employees anonymously make assessment and provide reviews on the companies they have been through. Their mission is to help job seekers find their best fit through honest and realistic information about businesses. Job Planet plans to open websites this year South Asia such as Thailand and Taiwan that are showing rapid growth.
Director Hee-seung Hwang says, “There are lots of interest from overseas, and our investment is mostly from the US VCs. We would like to upgrade our service and plan to accelerate launch in Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippines.”
