JDLab released a new version of IUEditor, a website builder that supports back-end integration with Django, AngularJS and now WordPress. IUEditor allows users to develop a website without coding, using drag-and-drop. It supports various devices (smartphone, tablet, desktop), browsers and custom animation.

Version 1.2.4, released on December 22, 2015, allows users to create their own WordPress theme with IUEditor. WordPress also provides paid themes for its users but they are difficult to customize without writing codes. Specialized widgets under WordPress Theme Project include the essential WordPress theme functions such as Post, Comment and Category. Users can drag-and-drop the widgets to create, arrange and edit them on canvas. Existing widgets such as Carousel, Google Map and YouTube also come in useful for the theme projects.

IUEditor is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) website builder that provides a wide range of functional widgets which replace lengthy and complex coding in traditional web editors. No prior knowledge of front-end is required for customization, even for embedding animation effects. It supports back-end integration as well as instant cloud server hosting service by Heroku, which makes it a one-stop web development tool.

JD Yang, CEO of JDLab, created IUEditor to resolve issues he came upon while developing a web service in 2013. He found his monitors always swamped with text editor windows with various languages. Communication costs among product manager, designers, and developers were unnecessarily high. He had tried all kinds of commercial development tools but none of them was satisfactory. IUEditor dramatically improves cost and time efficiency by eliminating HTML-CSS-Javascript structure and offering integrated development and management of web pages and resources with intuitive UI. The company has since secured multiple rounds of funding and has been continuously improving their product.

“IUEditor has always aimed to be an easy-to-use yet comprehensive web development tool,” says JD Yang. “Our latest update is a big step towards integration of IUEditor with diverse platforms. We look forward to providing our users with more choice in how they want to make their own websites.”
