Day2Life, a simple day to day mobile time management solution has secured an investment of US$200k (KRW 240m) from 500 Startups, among the most recognized Silicon Valley startup accelerator programs. In securing a position in the program for 2016, the solution was assessed to be highly competitive.
The mobile diary solution developed by Day2Life named June, provide a fully functional time management solution on a mobile device. Recent trends show an increase in the number of mobile device only users. June caters for these users with an easy to use, fully functional mobile based time management solution complete with Calendar, To do Lists and Memo. Reminders appear as alarms and the interface provides an easy way to add to or edit the reminder.
June was launched as iPhone and Android variations in the Korean market in 2014. Since it's launch, the application has been downloaded more than 230,000 time with a very high usage rate of 150,000 monthly application users (MAU).
Tim Choi, the investment team leader from 500Startups commented, “We observed Day2Life gained the top spot app spot for the category of Productivity as well as receiving a high frequency of good reviews from their users. Coupled with the company’s experience, we expect the application to continue the path of popularity to the global audience”.
Park Won Il from Day2Life commented, “The investment will provide a foundation to use the Korean market experience and apply this the US market, as well as further develop the business model for increasing revenue”.
