The profile of Korean entrepreneurship has been steadily increasing over the past three years and some have heralded 2014 as the year that could make or break this ecosystem on the move. beSUCCESS has been at the forefront of tracking growth of the ecosystem over the past three years through its media channels and global startup and tech focused conferences. The organization will hold its stateside event September 12th in San Fancisco.
Now in its second year beGLOBAL will connect the best of tech from East and West in what aims to be one of the premiere Asian focused startup-focused events this fall. As well as bringing together some of the top minds from Silicon Valley to discuss global entrepreneurship and investing, the event will highlight ten of the best startups emerging fromKorea. The conference organizers hope that the event will fuel an expansive sharing of ideas between East and West that will promote the cause of entrepreneurship and highlight opportunities.

- Jorn Lyssegen (CEO/Founder of Meltwater Group – A Korean adoptee raised in Norway, Jorn founded his startup in Oslo in 2001, moved the HQ to Silicon Valley and bootstrapped it all the way to over $100 million in revenues without taking any venture capital. In 2008, he started the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) and the MEST Incubator in Ghana.
