바이오 스타트업 온코랩(대표 김종성)이 퓨처플레이로부터 10억 원 규모의 Pre-A 투자를 유치했다. 온코랩은 이번 자금을 기반으로 비임상 시험 관리 기준(GLP) 및 의약품 제조 관리 기준(GMP) 기반 확충을 추진해 글로벌 임상 진입을 준비할 계획이다.
온코랩은 생체적합성이 우수한 마이크로젤 기반 정밀 약물전달(DDS, Drug Delivery System) 플랫폼을 개발 중이다. 이 기술은 저분자 항암제를 종양 내부에 국소적으로 지속 방출해 전신 독성을 최소화하고, 치료 효능을 극대화하는 것을 목표로 한다.
회사의 핵심 기술인 ‘ANGel(ANtibody-conjugated microGel)’ 플랫폼은 여러 항체와 항암 약물을 하나의 미세 입자에 결합해 암세포 인식과 면역 활성화, 그리고 항암제 방출을 동시에 수행하는 차세대 면역치료 방식이다. 입자 표면의 항체는 암세포를 정확히 타깃팅하고 면역 반응을 증폭시키며, 내부에 탑재된 항암제는 종양 주변에서 천천히 방출돼 부작용을 줄이고 효과를 오래 유지한다.
온코랩은 현재 삼중음성유방암(TNBC)을 첫 적응증으로 개발 중이다. 항체 조합을 바꿔 전립선암, 비소세포성 폐암 등 다양한 고형암으로 확장 가능한 모듈형 플랫폼 전략을 추진하고 있다. 현재, GLP 독성시험과 인간화 마우스 효능시험을 병행하며, 2026년 IND(임상시험계획서) 제출을 목표로 연구를 가속화하고 있다.
