About the Role: You will primarily research and write about Korean technology startups and other key industry players, such as investors, accelerators, and subject matter experts. You will also be actively involved in building beSUCCESS’ social media presence and generally promoting Korean tech and entrepreneurship to the world. You will also be involved in other responsibilities, as required.
Who would suit this role? You will have a deep interest in supporting Korean tech startups to go global through beSUCCESS’ media and events. You will likely have experience in researching and writing, preferably in the tech sector. You will be an entrepreneur at heart and will want to be at the centre of building a business, as well as supporting others to build theirs.
Responsibilities: You will support the global team conducting research and interviews, writing articles and promoting Korean entrepreneurship through written articles, on social media, and offline. Some Korean to English translation of technology news will be required. You will be responsible for building effective relationships globally, including with global tech news organizations and other relevant people / organizations. You will also be required to be flexible and to embrace any other roles and responsibilities that need your attention, as they arise (this is startup life).
Minimum qualifications
- BA degree in a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Ability and interest in writing about tech & startups, in English
- Ability to translate Korean tech news articles into English (native fluency not required)
- Robust understanding of how to use social media as a PR / Marketing tool
