With Asian messaging apps battling it out for the global market and with messaging apps now being considered a threat to traditional Internet giants like Facebook and Google (especially amongst teens), it is very exiting for us at beSUCCESS to present beGLOBAL speaker Jeanie Han, CEO of Line for Europe and the Americas.
Dr. Jeanie Han, who was recruited out of Paramount Pictures, is in charge of running LINE in the United States, Latin America, and Europe. Under Han’s leadership, LINE has grown exponentially in these territories through successful TV and viral campaigns. For instance in Spain, the user base grew by 300 times within a span of just 6 months, elevating LINE, which recently surpassed 230M users, as a true global player. Her extensive experience in marketing and business development has enabled her to make LINE an entertainment platform, taking digital communications beyond words on a screen and leveraging more emotional drivers to make communications more meaningful and fun. But how do you take a messaging app that’s wildly successful in the East and rewrite the marketing strategy for an entirely different consumer audience? After all, there’s no such thing as one-size-fits-all when it comes to apps and different user demographics, especially between east and west. Han will be expanding on this topic at beGLOBAL the 13th of September, at the Four Seasons Palo Alto. Tickets (Super Early Bird tickets still available!) can be bought at Eventbrite.
